Classic Final Four Aftermath

Devastating... But no, it was a great match between the rivals, De La Salle University Green Archers and the Ateneo De Manila University Blue Eagles. The mere fact that the Archers were able to enter the final four match was a big accomplishment for a team with mostly rookies.

Expectations weren't high for the Lasallians, but I must say, the Ateneans had tough grips on their seats during the intense game. With the Archers making an 11-pt lead on the 4th quarter, that was definitely the ONE BIG FIGHT the blue crowd was looking for.

Unfortunately, we had a great run but ADMU led by Kiefer Ravena had a better hold on the game. 69-66 was the final score. Despite that, Araneta Coliseum had a proud Lasallian community after. Something bright is on our future.

ADMU draws first blood against DLSU.

Nothing beats a classic UAAP game between the eternal rivals, the De La Salle Green Archers & the Ateneo De Manila Blue Eagles.

For this 75th season of the UAAP, I am sure that the De La Salle community expects a lot from the Archers basketball team after a four-year drought. With the rookie, Jeron Teng who has proven himself already in the past games, and veterans LA Revilla, Norbert Torres and Luigi dela Paz, the team's and community's spirits are up and hoping for a win from the Eagles.

UAAP Courtside Reporter Wannabe

A big fan of DLSU Green Archers who started watching UAAP games since she was in high school. Winning shots, drastic losses from the known rival ADMU Blue Eagles, and screaming from the top of her lungs while watching live actions.. Yup, that's me.

I've been that little girl watching with her dad every time UAAP seasons start. It's fun and less hassle to watch the games on television, but I have to admit... the school spirit, roaring crowds of green & white are the things I love about going to Araneta Coliseum and cheering for my bet team/school. (The feeling of being high, nearly equivalent.)

So if I, an ordinary fan standing from the lower/upper box of the coliseum, feels ecstatic seeing the players from afar, what more can those privileged ones feel? The ones like the courtside reporters? It must feel great.

As I entered college, in the wrong school (UP Manila - nothing against the university. It's just that it's not my dream alma mater.) I still continued to root for the Archers in all aspects. This year, I'm 18, legal and yes, can try out as the next courtside reporter. Wooh! Imagine me screaming. So I passed my resume and pictures via online to ABS-CBN Sports. Just trying my luck, indeed.

After a few months, probably three, I received a call from Sir Miki of ABS-CBN Sports. 1st round of auditions, here I come.
